Riding around with Leo is always an adventure because he is such a funny cat!

We always start off by going to Dunkin Donuts for his cappuccino and breakfast sandwich, then we just drive around for a while so he can look at the scenery while he eats.

It was a nice day, and I was even enjoying the drive for a change. But then it started.

Leo: “Jurge, Jurge, I want a blonde! Get me one! Lookie, stop there, pleeeeesssseeeee"

George “Leo, that shop is called Blinds For You, not blondes for you!"

Leo: “Oh, sorry Jurge"

A little further down the road he starts up again!

Leo: Jurge, Jurge, give me your cell phone, I want one of those. Please call, pleeeeesssseeeee."

George: Look, you dumb cat, it’s called Call-A-Wrench, not call a .. oh, never mind! It is a plumbing business."

Leo: “Oh. Sorry Jurge."

George: “Thanks ok, now just sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.

Leo: “Ok Jurge, I will, lookie, lookie Jurge, lets stop there!"

George: “Where? Leo, that’s a bank. Do you have an account here?"

Leo: “No, lookie, Jurge, lookie, see? It says totally free checking! I can get a free checking account! I can pay off my bookie! I can pay for taxi fares, I can get all of the fish that I want for my aquarium, you know how it soothes me to sit back and watch them swim before Miss Kitty tries to eat them. "

George: “Leo, Totally Free Checking means that you do not pay a service charge, it does not mean that they give you unlimited money when you write out checks."

Leo: “Oh. Can we just go home then? This is not fun anymore."

George: “Sure, let’s head home buddy."

George is a member of the Air National Guard and a former member of the Active Air Force. On March 13 2006, George and his wife Pam laid their friend Leo to rest. Leo was just a cat to most people, but he was more than that to George and Pam. Leo's unconditional love for Pam, his antics during his short life along with his ability to show that there is good in this world inspire George to write his story. Without saying one word, this friend spoke in a loud voice!
